Game Received: Persona's round-robin storytelling game, Day 375, midday
Team Played With: various (groups changed)
Memory Form: a simple gemstone in your team color, a little larger than a blueberry. Endlessly shareable, although the memory begins to fade in intensity with time.

Karigan approached the grand entrance to the ballroom from a walkway
that wound through the rose gardens of the east courtyard. The cloying
scent of red and pink blossoms almost overpowered the still night.
Luminiers flickered along the walkway with a festive radiance that might
have put her in a celebratory mood if not for the choking collar of her
Green Rider uniform. Once again, Captain Mapstone had seen her into the
formal uniform, this time with the addition of a gold sash about her waist.

Game Received: Velveteen Rabbit's create-a-friend game, Day 370, afternoon
Team Played With: Tiger's Eye (Velveteen + Maitimo, Clarise)
Memory Form: a smaller version of the toy you made in the game, though it's much smaller, inanimate, and solely in your team colors now. Play with it to receive your skill!

((Omigod she has a F'ryan Patch puppy doll omigod |D))

She now knows Dances!

... This does not in any way, shape, form, or fashion mean that she's particularly good at them, or that she enjoys them, but she at least knows how to do a few and how to avoid stepping on her partner's feet with some grace.

She will receive a dress uniform with this memory.
justarider: (it's hard to hold on)
Game Received: Auriga's Chariot Race game, Day 369, late afternoon
Team Played With: Emerald
Memory Form: a golden laurel crown. Wear it to receive your skill! Usable only once, obviously, but you can keep it as an accessory.

The Rider's Call is what calls a prospective messenger to the Green Riders. It is a magical calling and usually felt or heard as hoofbeats. It can push a Rider to travel across an entire continent in any weather to take their place amongst the Riders.

Karigan is a pretty rare exception. :')

She resisted the call for a year or more, refusing to join the Riders immediately. Even she could not resist it entirely, and she kept her Rider's brooch with her even though she ignored the call. Eventually she gave into it after it drove her out of bed on a breakneck ride to the capital leaving her two towns over one morning in her nightgown.

For the time being, this reawakens Karigan's abilities in magic. They are minimal abilities except when augmented by her Rider's brooch. She has actually been wearing it since she arrived in Aather, but she could not see it for what it was: a winged horse cast in gold. The brooch identifies Riders to each other -- Riders being the only ones who can see them clearly.

However, given Aather's multiverse nature, if you would like to have your magic user sense the presence of the brooch and be able to see the wavery and indistinct form of the brooch, you are welcome to.

Game Received: Lorelei's courting/kissing game, Day 364, late afternoon to Day 365, very early morning
Team Played With: n/a
Memory Form: a long stem of sea grapes; take a bite to receive the memory. Three uses.

It was late afternoon by the time Karigan realized she had dozed off. She
stretched muscles cramped by the wooden chair, and threw a new log on
the fading embers of the fire. Then she looked over the cabin's supply of
books which included the fictional story, The Journeys of Gilan
Wylloland
. Karigan had read and reread it long ago, though fiction books
were hard to come by. Her mother had spotted it at a fair and added it to
the tiny G'ladheon library.

Game Received: Hades' cave-venture game, Day 364, morning
Team Played With: Sterling (Bucky, Iron, Levi, Diamond)
Memory Form: small dark chocolate bite-sized brownies, 1 use naturally

As it says on the tin. She can ride a horse really well. She feels almost as natural on a horse as she does walking.

She'll have a saddle, bridle, and other tack for riding in her room. No horse though. :T
justarider: (that is not okay)
Game Received: Eliza's Brother's scrap book game, Day 362, sunset
Team Played With: n/a (Knight game)
Memory Form: a page of the scrapbook, memory received when the page is torn out

Karigan G'ladheon awakened to the chitter of waxwings and chickadees.
Mourning doves cooed and jays defended their territories with raucous
song and fluttering wings. Above her, the sky opened up like an expansive
dusky canopy that winked with stars. The moon hung low in the west.

Karigan groaned. She lay at the edge of a fallow farmer's field, behind a
hedgerow, and her back wasn't taking it well.

She pushed damp hair away from her brow. Everything was wet with
dew and her clothes stuck to her like a cold and clammy second skin. She
remembered aloud why she was here.

They galloped through the night, The Horse's hooves echoing dully on the
road. The gray world passed as a blur, and Karigan relied on The Horse to
find the way. Holding onto his mane and keeping her seat was all she
could manage under the weight of invisibility. When the night changed to
a lighter shade of gray, The Horse slowed to a walk and halted.

As it says on the tin basically.

This is a novice/intermediate level sword work. She's got natural talent though and is pretty good. She also has some dirty fighting tactics along with this.

This is from Master Rendle for the beginnings of formal training during school and Sevano, the Cargo Master of Clan G'ladheon, for the dirty stuff.
justarider: (didn't need that)
Karigan received her answer later that afternoon. The day dragged along
until The Horse froze in his tracks, his ears laid flat. He sidestepped
nervously and patches of sweat darkened his neck and flanks. Torne
hauled on the reins as if he could forcibly drag The Horse down the road.
When The Horse stayed anchored to his spot, Torne cursed and threatened
him.
